Creative Design Case Study
Dinks & Dingers
Background
When Dinks & Dingers founder Andy Anderson, an avid pickleballer and Beer City Open champion, set out to create West Michigan's hub for pickleball and wiffle ball, the business faced a common entrepreneurial challenge: how do you build a brand from nothing in a competitive market?
Anderson's goal was simple: create a space where players of all levels can learn, compete, and connect, but bringing that vision to life needed more than courts and a name. Dinks & Dingers required a complete brand identity, digital infrastructure, and systems for scheduling, memberships, and community engagement that could establish them as the go-to destination from day one.
Beyond the courts, Dinks & Dingers is a full entertainment hub. Grab a bite from the full food menu, sip cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, smoothies, or coffee, and catch all the action from courtside or on the big screens. With regular events and community gatherings, there’s always something happening making it a place to play, eat, drink, hang out, have fun, and be part of a vibrant, thriving community.
The Challenge
Launching a brand-new business in a fast-growing but competitive industry meant starting from square one. Dinks & Dingers needed:
- A complete brand identity: logo, colors, style, and messaging that would set them apart.
- A website that was more than informational: it had to integrate booking courts and reservations, memberships, class scheduling, and e-commerce.
- Marketing support to create excitement for the Grand Opening: from menus and merch to postcards and emails.
In short: everything had to come together quickly, seamlessly, and in a way that reflected the fun, welcoming spirit of the brand.
The Approach
With the flexibility that comes from working in a new, consumer-driven industry, RED66 brought creativity and strategy together to build the Dinks & Dingers brand from the ground up. Our work included:
- Brand Creation: Developed the full visual identity — logo, colors, and design system — which went on to inspire the look and feel of the facility itself.
- Website Design + Development: Built a user-friendly website that serves as the hub for player scheduling, memberships, store purchases, and community resources.
- CRM + Scheduling Integration: Connected backend systems for seamless management of bookings, reservations, and memberships.
- Grand Opening Marketing: Designed menus, postcards, and merch, and created promotional emails to generate buzz.
- Creative Flexibility: Leaned into bold, playful branding that reflected the energy of pickleball culture while still maintaining clarity and professionalism.

The Results
The partnership helped Dinks & Dingers launch not only with a strong brand identity, but with a fully functional marketing and tech foundation. Highlights include:
- A consistent, recognizable brand carried through the website, facility design, and marketing materials.
- A digital hub that handles memberships, scheduling, and sales to help make the customer experience simple and smooth.
- Strong early community engagement, with players praising the space and experience.
- A successful Grand Opening supported by print, digital, and email marketing efforts.

Moving Forward
With a strong brand and marketing foundation in place, Dinks & Dingers is positioned to grow its community of players and expand its impact in the local sports and recreation scene. As the business grows, RED66 will continue to support through:
- Ongoing digital marketing and content creation.
- Future campaign support to drive memberships and events.
- Continued integration and optimization of digital tools to support scalability.
By blending creativity with strategy, RED66 helped turn a vision into a brand, a brand into a facility, and a facility into a community.
TESTIMONIAL
“I’ve seen it too many times—people taking credit for work they didn’t do, especially when women’s contributions are overlooked or erased. That’s not the story here!
Dinks & Dingers wouldn’t exist without the brilliant, hardworking, creative, and resilient women who helped bring this dream to life. From the first brainstorm to the final touches, they showed up with heart, hustle, and vision. I’m proud to say this space came to be with the help of their hearts, minds, and spirit. To every woman who stood beside me, guided me, challenged me, and believed in this—thank you. Your impact is woven into every corner of this place.”
