Local SEO and Paid Ads Case Study
Photo Evo

Background
Photo Evo is a West Michigan-based photo printing company that specializes in customization with retail locations across the Grand Rapids area. From the start, we took on a broad scope of work: social media management, Google Business Profile management, and a fully managed paid advertising program on both Meta and Google.
To create content across all channels, we partnered with Bloom Social, a Grand Rapids–based social media agency, and conducted photo shoots at Photo Evo's North and South retail locations, capturing fresh, high-impact images and b-roll that gave the brand a consistent, polished presence wherever customers encountered it.
Data covers September 1, 2025 through January 16, 2026, compared against the prior period (April 16 – August 31, 2025).
The Challenge
Photo Evo had strong products and an established retail presence, but limited digital infrastructure to support online growth. The key challenges were:
- No active paid advertising presence on Meta or Google
- Organic social accounts with minimal following and no consistent content strategy
- Google Business Profiles for three locations needing optimization and active management
The goal was to build a full-funnel digital presence from the ground up driving both online orders and foot traffic to retail locations across West Michigan.
Our Approach
We built a connected, multi-channel strategy designed to work together and not in silos. Each channel plays a specific role in moving customers from first awareness through to purchase.
Organic Social Media — We managed Photo Evo's Facebook and Instagram presence with a focus on building an engaged local audience. Using content from the on-site photo shoots, Bloom created a steady cadence of posts showcasing products, the in-store experience, seasonal promotions and funny “social trendy” videos.
Google Business Profile Management — Photo Evo operates three locations: a production facility (Pro) and two retail storefronts (North and South). We actively managed all three GBP listings, optimizing for local search visibility and ensuring accurate, compelling information for customers finding Photo Evo through Google Maps and search.
Paid Advertising — Meta & Google — We used a full-funnel multi-campaign paid strategy using Meta Ads as the awareness and demand-generation engine, and Google Ads to capture high-intent customers actively searching for photo printing and custom products nearby. Together, these two channels create a repeatable system that supports both online orders and in-store visits.
The Results
Data covers September 1, 2025 through January 16, 2026, compared against the prior period (April 16 – August 31, 2025).
Organic Social
By combining consistent, on-brand creative with fresh photo and video content from our on-site shoots, we grew both platforms meaningfully in just a few months.
Facebook generated 2,549 post engagements and added 149 new page followers, with reels reaching 26,940 people across the Grand Rapids area.
Instagram — launched brand new under this partnership — quickly found its footing, earning 174 engagements, 150 likes, and a reach of 26,737.
These numbers reflect more than vanity metrics. They signal that Photo Evo's content is resonating with the right local audience and that foundation will only get stronger as the accounts continue to grow.
Web Traffic
The impact of our full-funnel strategy showed up clearly in Photo Evo's website data. Over the September 2025 – January 2026 period, sessions jumped 211% to 19,956, page views climbed 232% to 38,054, and conversions increased 100% to 3,210 — all compared to the prior period.

Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
Meta Ads are used as a full-funnel engine to build awareness, stay top of mind, and convert warm audiences over time. From day one, we’ve run a scaled strategy that includes short-form video, carousel ads, retargeting, seasonal and abandoned cart campaigns.
This approach allows us to introduce Photo Evo to new local audiences in the Grand Rapids area, reinforce the brand through repeated touchpoints, and then re-engage people who have already visited the site or started an order. Meta plays a key role in demand creation and capturing purchases that don’t always happen on the first visit.
Results:
- Purchases: 200+ purchases
- Impressions: 400,000+ (Grand Rapids area)
- Average CPC: $0.94

Google Ads
Google Ads focus on high-intent demand, capturing people actively searching for photo printing, signage, and custom products near them. This ensures Photo Evo consistently shows up when customers are ready to buy, especially during seasonal moments like holidays, graduations, and events.
We run a mix of awareness and conversion-driven campaigns, prioritizing strong search visibility while supporting purchases through conversion-optimized campaigns. This keeps Photo Evo competitive in search results while driving measurable revenue growth.
Results:
- Impressions: 139,000+
- Average CPC: $2.15
- Consistent lift in purchases from search-ready audiences

Full-Funnel Strategy: How It All Works Together
Meta and Google work best when they're connected, not siloed. Meta builds awareness and nurtures interest over time, while Google captures demand when users are ready to act. Together, they create a repeatable system that supports both online orders and in-store visits across West Michigan.
This full-funnel structure aligns with the strategy outlined at the start of our partnership and gives Photo Evo a scalable foundation for seasonal growth and long-term performance.
Moving Forward
This project demonstrates how quickly a local business can build meaningful digital momentum when the right channels are activated together.
Continued opportunities include:
- Scaling Meta and Google Ads budgets as ROAS and conversion data matures
- Expanding local SEO through BrightLocal as citation and keyword work builds authority
- Developing seasonal campaign strategies around graduations, holidays, and events
- Growing organic social audiences and increasing content volume across both platforms
