B2B Marketing Strategy Before You Build Anything Else

Stop guessing and start making smarter marketing decisions.

Your marketing strategy is the plan that tells you who to reach, what to say, and where to spend before you invest in a website redevelopment, SEO or marketing campaigns. RED66 marketing builds that plan with you through our Route to Revenue Workshop, then helps you put it to work so every budget dollar has a job.

Why Does a B2B Company Need a
Marketing Strategy First?

Most companies come to us ready to build a new website, create a campaign or start SEO. We get it. These are things you can see. But if you haven’t defined who your best buyers are, what makes you different, and what a lead is worth, your website ends up talking to everyone, and the SEO chases keywords that don’t bring in business.

A marketing strategy gives your team one plan to work from.

  • Sales and marketing agree on the target.
  • Your budget goes to the channels that fit how your buyers actually research and buy.
  • Every project after it, from the website to the next campaign, has a clear job to do.
Without a strategy With a strategy
Website copy written for “everyone” Website built around your best-fit buyers
SEO chases traffic that doesn’t convert SEO targets the searches your buyers use
Sales and marketing define leads differently Shared definition of a qualified lead
Budget spread across whatever’s urgent Budget tied to goals and lead value
Success judged by gut feel KPIs agreed on before work starts

Which would you rather have?

How Our Process Works

Our Route to Revenue Workshop is the process we use to build your complete marketing strategy, from kickoff to a finished plan in about 6 weeks. Clients use it to guide their sales teams, leadership and service teams. It becomes the playbook for how you market your business.

Discovery and goal setting.
We learn your business, your growth goals, and what’s worked or stalled so far.

Market & Audience Research.
We analyze your competitors, industry trends, and market gaps. We’ll also define your target audience by identifying buyer personas, pain points, and behaviors to make sure our strategy speaks directly to them.

Workshop Sessions.
One full day or two half-days with your leadership, sales and marketing team. We dig into your market and audience and align sales and marketing on what a good lead looks like. Small teams and solo marketers are welcome. Ideally, these are in-person to allow for better communication.

Your strategic plan.
We use the information gathered during our workshop session and our research to create a written plan: positioning, messaging, KPIs, lead value, and a channel plan with priorities.

Implementation.
We put the plan to work across your website, SEO or AEO, content, email efforts, social, sales collateral and more, so the strategy never sits on a shelf.

Measure and adjust.
We track results against the KPIs, report monthly and adjust the plan as your market changes.

Why RED66:
We Build the Plan and Put It to Work

Tactics are great, as long as they are implemented, tested, measured, and adjusted.

We’ve seen it happen before. A beautiful strategy gets presented, everyone gets excited, the PDF gets saved somewhere, and then... nothing happens. We don’t want that.

Your strategy should be something you can actually use to make decisions and can reference when a new marketing idea pops up. Something that helps you decide where to spend your budget, what to prioritize, and what to say no to.

And if you need help putting the plan into action, that’s what we’re here for.

Strategy gets you moving in the right direction. Implementation keeps you moving.

Who is the Marketing Strategy
Route to Revenue Workshop for?

Our strategy process is built for B2B companies that sell products or services to other businesses and want a marketing partner, not necessarily a one-off project. It’s the first step for every full-service client, because it’s how we make sure the work that follows is aimed at the right buyers. It’s also ideal for companies who may have a full marketing team in-house, but are looking to clarify their marketing messaging, targeting and strategy with outside agency support.

This is a fit if you:

Are about to invest in a new website, SEO, brand launch or a campaign and want it to pay off

Have sales and marketing teams that don’t agree on what a good lead is

Are spending on marketing but can’t say what’s working

Are growing into a new market, product line, or region

Have a small team or a solo marketer who needs a clear plan to follow

Aren’t sure you’re focusing on the right things

Need to get your sales and marketing teams on the same page

Are introducing your brand, going through a merger or launching a new division

Our Clients Say It Best

“RED66 was able to come in, understand something that we did that’s incredibly technical, and help us put together our messaging, our website, our positioning, our PowerPoint, and really enhance our marketing in a time period that I felt was unbelievable.”
